Houston Episcopal Trying To Become SPC Mainstays At The Top

The Episcopal Houston girls, coming off their first Cross Country state title in school history, are poised to make a run at the SPC Track & Field title. They are experienced, and they have depth, especially on the track.

Julia and Ella Newman, Madison Morgan and Kat Kwiatkowski lead an impressive group of ladies looking to make a run at the SPC title, and with Kat Kwiatkowski (University of Texas signee) back from an injury that held her out of the SPC XC State Championships, a run at the podium is definite.

The guys are young: Sam Marino, a sophomore who finished 10th at the SPC XC State Championships, is the leader of a hungry group getting better every day in practice. Will Citizen (junior) and emerging star DeVonte Taylor (freshman) support seniors John Bruton and Colby Gay in an effort to build a legacy that will challenge for a spot on the podium on an annual basis.
