Jay Woodhouse competes at the 2024 McNeil Invitational
Currently, the No. 2 in the SPC behind St. Andrews' Luke Dial, Jay Woodhouse sits at 16:08.20 for the 5,000m distance, dramatic improvement from his 17:48 as a freshman.
Woodhouse has an opportunity to join the sub-16:00 club before the end of this season, but with only two races left in his SPC career, he'll have to take all of Coach Mercado's lessons and sprint to the finish, as one of his goals is to finish in the Top 3 overall - combined 3A and 4A.
