Boys Elite 5,000m field at the 2022 Texas Distance Festival

By now, we have all viewed the Elite Boys 5,000m from this past weekend's Texas Distance Festival. The questions is, what did you really see? Yes, you watched the race, and yes you've seen the results, but do you really know what you saw? Well, we've broken down the video into data for you to analyze the race.
You heard me call the race and I mentioned Walker St. John (Grapevine) moving up throughout the race and made race defining moves over the final laps and displayed a kick like few can do. However, earlier in the race he was far from the lead pack of runners and actually in 23rd our ot 34 runners place before moving up.
This table provides analysis of who was consistent and who was all over the board.
According to both the video and table, Sahil Dodda (Dallas St. Marks) and Kevin Sanchez (Austin Vandegrift) were consistent throughout the race before running to second and third place finishes. Nathanael Berhane (Wylie) was another consistent runner throughout and shared leading duties.
