JyAdrian Wortham has two things going for him next weekend at the UIL 5A Track and Field State Championships. One, he will be one of the only boys long jumpers that Fort Bend Marshall has ever had qualify for state. Two, he won't feel pressured to score points.
That doesn't mean, he won't be intrinsically motivated to contribute by adding a point or two to the team overall score.
Wortham is a member of the Buffalo's football program and he knows that each individual performance makes up the whole and adds value to the overall performance. Although he won't feel the pressure, he does intend to play his part; he's just wired that way.
