The Girls 6A Gold In 100H And 300H Belongs To Simone Ballard

100 meter hurdles

This race was much like the 2022 season in the hurdles - - it belonged to Simone Ballard right from the start. This future Baylor star is currently running out of Katy Mayde Creek.

Ballard shot out of the blocks like a cannonball and was first to the starting hurdle. From there is was all over and she breezed over each hurdle as if it was just another meet with her time of 13.33.

Zaire Moore, from Cypress Falls showed great determination as she didn't let the competition get to her. She ran a very high paced race which earned her the silver medal. She ran a time of 13.61.

Earning bronze for the day in the 100H was Rylee Hampton out of Cypress Ridge. Her time was 13.73.

Kayla Meyers of Klein Forest put her best foot forward and was in contention all the way to the end. She crossed the finish line in second with a time of 41.51

Third place was a photo finish between Sidney Green (Allen) and Taylen Wise (San Antonio Reagan). Green was the bronze medalist after beating Wise by .01 seconds (42.18)
