110 meter hurdles

You couldn't have asked for a more competitive race. These big boys came out to compete and this race was absolutely beastly! Shane Gardner from Richmond George Ranch seemed to have an early lead but this race literally came down to the last hurdle.

Samuel Alves out of Rockwall and Donovan Bradley from Humble Summer Creek came in moving like 2 freight trains and were able to inch ahead of Alves. First and Second Place also literally came down to the lean, which favored Alves winning him a gold medal.

Alves finishes with a time of 13.70, Bradley gets second in 13.71, and Gardner finishes third with a time of 13.73.

300 meter hurdles

Lane 5 Alex Ornelas a Junior from Langham Creek had the fastest times coming out of regionals.

Fairly even through the first few hurdles, no one had taken command of the race yet.

Ornelas coming down the backstretch was in the lead with two hurdles left. He knocked down the next to last hurdle as did Donovan Bradley a Junior from Humble Summer Creek. With one hurdle left, Ornelas didn't clear it and took a tumble right at the finish line. Not to let it define him he hurled himself over the finish line into 4th place.

With the misstep by Ornelas, Eugene Liger a Senior from Cypress Woods captured the gold medal, Cameron Boger a Senior from Mesquite received the silver and Bradley finished in third place.
