Davis has been one of the leading jumpers in the state and country all season long. Indoors, he popped a 24-0.5 to get the season started; he continued that momentum by starting the outdoor season off with a 24-3.

The University of Houston signee would be consistent all season long with only one meet with a winning jump under 24-0 and three meets with winning jumps over 25 feet. A Texas Relays win followed by a 25-5.25 (US No. 2 ranking) district winning jump would highlight Davis' season.

However, there were more highs; A 25-3.75 (1.6) wind legal jump would win the UIL 6A state title to help his team repeat as UIL 6A state champions.

Davis also shined this year in the 110 meter hurdles. He ran two sub 14 second races and PRed in 13.84 (w) this season. He qualified for state in the event, but was disqualified due to a false start.
