While June Keller admittedly has a Love-Hate relationship with running, she managed to drop another 10 seconds off her two-mile time this past weekend. This is on top of the 41 seconds she's already dropped from her freshman season while competing for UIL 3A Franklin High School, not far from College Station.
At the Home School XC Championships, she'll run the 5K, a distance she's not unfamiliar with but is preparing for nonetheless with a three-stage process from her coach.
At UIL 3A Franklin, she capped her freshman season with a trip to the Regional meet in both the 3200 and the 4x400 in Track & Field; for Cross Country, she returns to Old Settlers Park in a couple of weeks where she hopes to better her 13:11 run from last year, where the Juniper pollen forced her into a bad start to the race.
