Top 5 Returners

1.) Margaret Thompson (Hockaday)


Thompson is coming into this year as the top returning runner, as she is last year's 2021 Southwest Preparatory Conference individual champion clocking in at 18:37.80, she also has a personal best time of 17:29.52 which she ran at the famous Southlake Carroll XC Invite. This year is the year for the junior as she will be having all the targets on her back. 


2.) Madison Morgan (Houston Episcopal


Morgan has had multiple mid 19 minute 5K times to add to her resume but the one that sticks out for the sophomore is her performance at this year's 2022 Nike South Invitational, she ran a blazing time of 18:48.20. This year is coming to be something special for the young super star and is coming in as the second fastest athlete from last years 2021 Southwest Preparatory Conference


3.) Jordan Lacsamana (Hockaday)


Last year Lacsamana finished fourth place overall in the 2021 Southwest Preparatory Conference running a time of 19:08.20. This year the sophomore is coming in with a 5k personal best time of 19:00.70 ran at the 2022 Southlake Carroll XC Invite


4.) Julia Newman (Houston Episcopal)


Last year Newman ran 19:25.40 and placed seventh as an individual, she's coming in with a personal best time of 19:07.10. This year Newman is looking to use her track speed leading into the 2022 Southwest Preparatory Conference 


5.) Lucy Holden (Houston Episcopal) 


Holden has been a strong number two runner for the Lady Knights and has played a huge role in the team, she's coming in with a personal best time of 18:56.30. Last year Holden placed eighth place individually running 19:25.60.
