The 2023 indoor track and field season is already in motion with a December meet and some runners competing last weekend at the LSU HIGH SCHOOL CLASSIC. This weekend, things will really ramp up with a lot of Texas athletes scheduled to compete at the Carl Lewis Invitational and the Arkansas Invitational.
Iliya Dryaba (The Woodlands) has already run 48.49 and Joshua Sims-Waddy (Fort Bend Hightower) 49.78 have already run under 50 seconds with their runs at the FasTrak Coach O Youth and High School Opener in December. Now that the calendar year has turned, we'll start to see the times really drop and several other runners run sub-50.
