Girls 100 Meter Hurdles
The girls 100 meter hurdles was one of the fastest heats assembled in some time with five girls who had sub 14.0 second seed times. Rylee Hampton (Cypress Ridge) had the fastest seed of 13.58 and many believed she could challenge the state record.
Hampton got an unbelievable start out of he blocks and by hurdle three she was building a substantial lead. Nothing would stop the Cypress Ridge star as she was at a full head of steam going through the final three hurdles winning in 13.64 into a head wind. (-.0.6).
Closing hard over the final four hurdles was Lillian Harden (Cypress Bridgeland) who ran 13.82 for second place narrowly edging out Riyah Burns (Spring) who finished in 13.83.

Girls 300 Meter Hurdles
There wasn't much that many figured would be able to stop the Texas No. 1 300 meter hurdler of all-time Sidney Green (Allen). Allen has run several 40 point races including a 40.63 from last month's Texas Relays exactly on this track.
Green and Hampton were even through the first two hurdles and then Green took off. She was joined by Isabella Dagrosa (San Antonio Reagan) coming off the turn, but green surged once again and took off after hurdle six. Dagrosa would hold her form and secure second place when Indyia Walton (Duncanville) and Amelliah Birdow (DeSoto) made pushes to pull away from the field.
In the end, Gren won in 41.10, Dagrosa held on for second, and Walton finished third.
