Coach Julius Michaels and the Episcopal boys congregate at the starting line of a race

The 2022 cross country season ended with a lot of optimism for both of the Houston Episcopal programs. The girls won their second consecutive Southwest Preparatory Conference (SPC) championship and the boys finished third and just five points off the top of the awards podium.
The girls return SPC champion Madison Morgan and six of their top-10 runners from a year ago when they dominated the conference meet, winning by 30 points.
The boys also bring back a heavy contingency led by seniors Sam Marino (2nd) and Evan Ringwald (4th) as the top two returning overall finishers in the SPC.
Coach Julius Michaels discussed with us the state of his program and the goals for the 2023 cross country season.
