The stage is now set after Tuesday's round of UIL 6A running at the various regional championships. Now, we change focus to the evaluation of the season progression for the the teams and individual remaining.
In my experience doing this, I have noticed that the state meet goes in two different types of ways. One, regionals is an emotional high and a season's long build up to the big race and earn the chance to do it all again. My findings are that the state meet results are dependent on how the qualifiers are able to handle what they put into Regionals and how it affects their state meet races.
Some teams aren't able to replicate the same combined efforts at state and some still have a regional high in the early stages of the race. Other teams go through regionals as a formality and reserve what's needed for the state meet.
