Watch Mackenzie Dagrosa Clear 6 Feet For US No. 1 High Jump

San Antonio Reagan senior Mackenzie Dagrosa competes at the 2024 Carl Lewis Inv.

Mackenzie Dagrosa had a good start to the month of March as she won the Nike Indoor Nationals (NIN) in the high jump.

With a clearance of 5-10.50, Dagrosa brought home the national title with her personal best indoor jump.

The Vanderbilt University signee was consistently jumping 5-10 throughout this outdoor track and field season.

The San Antonio Reagan senior had hit a lull after returning from NIN with 5-8 being her best clearance in competitions and she only went 5-7.75 last week at the 96th Annual Texas Clyde Littlefield Relays (High School), the highest profile outdoor meet of the year.

That was until today.

Dagrosa found the hop back in her step at the UIL 6A - District 28 where she jumped a 6-0 clearance for a new personal best.

The six-feet barrier is an epic accomplishment for any female high school jumper.

The indoor national champion is now the national leader outdoors in the event.
