The 6A Region 2 boys have been lighting up the track this season, with standout performances across all events. Varquan Green (Spring Dekaney) holds the fastest 100m time at 10.30, leading a deep sprint field that includes Braylin Byrd (Tomball Memorial) at 10.36 and Kani Hicks (Lancaster) at 10.38. Byrd has also been dominant in the 200m, clocking 20.94 to rank second behind Braylon Davis (Waxahachie), who leads the region with a blazing 20.80.
The quarter-mile has been just as competitive, with Heath Grant (Willis) leading at 46.48, barely edging Christian Witcher (Conroe Grand Oaks) at 46.58. Grant has been everywhere this season, also topping the 800m with a 1:50.99 and running four of the five fastest times in the event. Evan Martin (Rockwall Heath) and Camden Gibson (The Woodlands College Park) have also been among the top half-milers, both dipping under 1:54.
