2025 UIL 4A Girls 800m
Addyson Bristow left no doubt as to who is the best half-miler this year. The senior from Canyon set a blistering pace hitting the 200m in 0.31 seconds and the 400m in 60.34 and came back with a 66-second final lap.
Bristow's winning time of 2:07.19 broke a 16-year old State meet record by over two seconds. It was her second straight 800m State title. She was a heavy favorite heading into the race and never gave anyone a chance to even think about winning the race.
Davenport's Kendall Fallon set the early pace for the chase group, but Annalee Bryant of Salado made a move at the 400m mark and was able to hold off the rest of the challengers to finish in second place in 2:14.11 while Celeste Cantu (Huffman Hargrave) was a step behind for third place.
