2025 UIL 4A girls 400m

The 2025 UIL 4A Girls 400-Meter Dash brought together a mix of youth and experience, but in the end, it was sophomore sensation Naomi Jones (Dallas Lincoln) who stamped her authority on the race and claimed her first state title. Entering the meet as the favorite, Jones lived up to the hype and then some, storming to the front early and never relinquishing control.

Jones attacked the stagger aggressively, making up ground on nearly every competitor within the first 120 meters and fully reeling in the field by the 250-meter mark. Though Jada White (Kennedale) mounted a strong challenge from lane three and threatened midway, Jones showed poise beyond her years. Despite a slight loss of form in the final stretch, her conditioning and stride held together just enough to secure the victory in 55.94 seconds, a dominant performance even if shy of Licretia Sibley's 2001 4A record of 53.65.
