  CHICAGO (January 8, 2014) — In its 29  year of honoring the nation’s best high school athletes, The Gatorade
              Company, in collaboration with USA TODAY High School Sports, today announced Natalie Rathjen of Highland Park
              High School as its 2013-14 Gatorade Texas Girls Cross Country Runner of the Year.  Rathjen is the first Gatorade
              Texas Girls Cross Country Runner of the Year to be chosen from Highland Park High School.

Dallas Rushing (SR) Axtell ran a solo 1A State Recored and PR (1:52.24) at the UIL State Track and Field Meet. He went through at 55 and finished strong. He beat the previous record who was set in 2012 by William Roberts from Sanderson who ran 1:54.75. Dallas is at Texas A&M.

Kingwood wins McNeil Invitational ALEX ALDACO Oct 08, 2013

The Cypress Woods cross country team returned to the state meet for the second consecutive season last year, despite losing star harrier Craig Nowak, who won the Class 5A state championship in 2011. The Wildcats are trying to maintain that lifestyle this year without two more key runners who helped return the team to Austin, where they finished a disappointing 12th � Connor Hanson and Harry Krantz.
