This article is more of a history of All-Americans at Footlocker. I was inspired by the performance of Devin Clark at the Footlocker Championship in San Diego and wondered how many athletes in Texas have earned All-American status
Dallas Rushing (SR) Axtell ran a solo 1A State Recored and PR (1:52.24) at the UIL State Track and Field Meet. He went through at 55 and finished strong. He beat the previous record who was set in 2012 by William Roberts from Sanderson who ran 1:54.75. Dallas is at Texas A&M.
Natalie Rathjen places 3rd and Devin Clark places 7th to qualify for the Footlocker National meet in San Diego which features the best high schoolers in the Nation.
The Kingwood girls varsity cross country team traveled to Round Rock Saturday along with 121 other teams from all over Texas to compete in the McNeil Cross Country Invitational. (via www.yourkingwoodnews.com)

The Cypress Woods cross country team returned to the state meet for the second consecutive season last year, despite losing star harrier Craig Nowak, who won the Class 5A state championship in 2011. The Wildcats are trying to maintain that lifestyle this year without two more key runners who helped return the team to Austin, where they finished a disappointing 12th � Connor Hanson and Harry Krantz. Foster placed seventh (16:03.20) and Austin 44th (16:52.55). "[...] far into the season, I am happy with our performances individually," Zarate said. (via Houston Chronicle)
