What to Watch: 10 Headlines for Live Stream Regions

Region 2-6A | Region 1-6A/Region 2-5A | Region 4-6A/5A

1) Boys 4x200m: We saw a US #3 ALL TIME mark (1:23.84) get dropped from PA Memorial last weekend, but that time is NOT safe. It could easily go down in this meet, both Lancaster & Desoto have the talent to run under 1:24.

2) Girls Hurdles: Tonea Marshall & Alexis Duncan are both in the 100H US Top-5, and with both consistently running sub-14, we could easily see the National leader(13.21) go down. To top it off, you will see the US #1(41.65) in the 300H Samantha Gonzalez. Duncan PRed in this event last week running 42.23, could she end up posting the fastest time?

3) Girls 4x100m: This race is going to be lights out! After a DQ in the 4x200m last week, Desoto will be fired up to own this race! They ran a US #2 45.65 at the area meet, but will be a tough challenge from Cedar Hill looking for their first 45s of 2015. Don't forget about the 5A race where Seguin & Summit will hit the track for a rematch from last week where they both broke 47s.

4) Girls 1600m: Maddy Reed is the overwhelming favorite in the 3200m where it's just a matter of how much energy she wants to expend, but the 1600m is going to be a battle! Reed proved she has a kick to torch anyone in the final stages of that race last week, but this field is packed with talent. It's going to take a sub-5 for the guaranteed spot to State. Both Meghan Lloyd & Rebecca Jacobson ran 5 flat at area and right behind them was the rising Freshman from Hebron, Laura Fairchild. Then add in Anna Mora who has run a sub-5:05 for El Paso Eastwood this season...we're going to see some fireworks in this race!

5) Boys Sprints: State Champions and some of the best sprinters in the country will line up at UTA. The fastest 200m time of the day could very easily come out of 5A with Reggie Garner still holding the 2nd fastest time in the nation. Though Darrion Flowers has been quietly lowering his time all season and will be looking to run under 21s. In the 100m, London Dunn will have a target on his back as the fastest in the field with a US #7 10.35. While they wont race head to head, in the 5A race, Ronald Jones will be the one to watch also having run under 10.40 in 2015.

6) Aaliyah Miller & Carter Blunt: The 800m state record holder Miller will be the heavy favorite in the 800m both this weekend, and at State with other top runners like Devin Clark & Julia Heymach focusing on the 16/32. Carter Blunt will win both distance races by a considerable margin at the Region meet, but every race he enters you have the potential to witness a special performance from this talented Junior.

7) Paulo Benavides: The former indoor National Record holder has been taking his time working into the outdoor season with some new poles. Now that he's taking attempts well over 17', look for him to start working his way back up the National Rankings.

8) 6A Boys Distance: Anyone's race. The 1600m & 3200m are completely open. There is no dominant athlete in either race, meaning these races could be two of the most exciting distance races to watch in the entire weekend! Throwing a twist into the mix, with the 3200m be running early compared to other Regions run later on in the day, these guys can't afford to hold back if they're looking to score the at large 9th spot at Austin. Being at a disadvantage since other Regions will know what times they have run.

9) Jhane King: She pulled off a mind blowing 100-200-400 triple at Area, rarely seen at the 6A level. Her strongest event compared to the rest of the competition may be the 400m, though she'll certainly have no easy race with Aaliyah Miller in the mix. King will have to bring her A Game to advance in the shorter sprints.

10) Overall Talent: The field of 5A/6A athletes converging on UTA is insane. Every event from the sprints up to the 3200m is packed with some of the best in the nation. The hurdles have a chance to upset national leaders, and the field events are stacked. Long story short, this is a much watch event, and we have it for you LIVE.
