What to Watch: 10 Headlines for Live Stream Regions

Region 2-6A | Region 1-6A/Region 2-5A | Region 4-6A/5A

1) Boys 100m: It is going to be insanely hard to get to State in 6A. Jesse Jones ran the fastest time in the State (10.33) a few weeks ago, and he'll have to contend with a block of other athletes running 10.50 and the Steele duo of Hudson & Denley.

2) Devin Clark & Alex Rogers: The Arkansas commit should have no trouble advancing to State in the 1600&3200, keep an eye on her races as she can bust out a huge time whenever she wants. As always, Clark will pull off the 1600-4x400m double as she tries to help her team make it to Austin. Talking about another big college signee, UT commit Alex Rogers should have no trouble making it back to his future home track. Only challenger will be teammate Sam Worley in the 1600m. Rogers had the epic kick to win the Texas Relays 3200m this season, you know he will have a lot of motivation to impress back in Austin again.

3) Converse Judson Girls: These ladies have been putting together fast relays & sprints all season. They have a legitimate shot at the state title if they put together clean races this weekend and get all their key players to Austin.

4) Tank: We could see some tight races in the boys distance events to grab the State spots. Leading the way will be Andrew Tankersley. Not messing around this weekend, he is looking for 2 PRs and running after both school records in the next two weeks (4:14/9:11).

5) Brendon Rivera: He's healthy and back in action. He STILL reigns supreme on top of the National rankings from over a month ago, and is clearly in good form clearing 7' in practice.

6) Boys Sprint Relays: Having to battle 3 weeks straight, Cibolo Steele & Converse Judson will hit the track one final time before Austin. Both teams trading 4x100m/4x200m wins with Steele having the slight edge in the 4x100m with the Top-2 100m finalists at the Area meet, but Judson has proved to be better in the 4x200m. But if you throw a healthy AJ Hudson anchoring the Steele 4x200m...it's a different conversation.

7) Vince Castillo: The senior from Donna hasn't been challenged too often this season, being undefeated in the 110H. He's a two time state champ in the 300H, and hasn't hit times to that standard yet, so this could be a breakout meet for his 2015 season as he gets ready to defend his 300H title and shoot for the hurdle sweep.

8) Girls 800m: This is a can't miss event to watch live because you are going to see a show! Alex Cruz is on the verge of running under 2:14 as she runs the 16/800 double. Dominique Allen has shown consistent improvement and will have to outrun some quality athletes from Smithson Valley. With multiple girls in the TX Top-10, it's going to take a 2:13 or faster to make it to State, and this race wont be decided until the final 50m!

9) Glorilisha Carter: She is having a huge end of her season! She advanced to the Region meet is FOUR events! Not just advancing...she took 1st in the 100m-200m-LJ-TJ! She is one of the best in the state in all events, tune in live this weekend to see how many events she can win this week!

10) Even Competition: The lack of a overall dominant athlete in most events is a good thing for all the spectators. This meet will have a mind blowing number of wire to wire races & close finishes.
