Josh Martin looks to win two state titles this year

TX MileSplit:  How did it feel having the team success you guys have had the last several years and winning it all last year?

Josh:  The success Manvel has had is great.  I can't believe how much we have improved since freshman year and winning state last year just made it better.

TX MileSplit:  You are one of the top 800m returners, what has your preparation been like heading into your senior season?

Josh:  I have been doing a lot more speed endurance workouts this year to help my 400, which I learned is the race that helps my 800.

TX MileSplit:  You finished with a 1:55.05 PR and qualified for the state last year?  What are your goals for this upcoming season?

Josh:  This year my goal is to drop my 400 and 800 times as much as possible, but my ultimate goal for this season is to win state individually and again with my team.

TX MileSplit:  What was the best Christmas gift you've received of all time?

Josh:  The best Christmas gift I have received is a car.

TX MileSplit:  In your opinion, who is the best super hero, and why?

Josh:  The best super hero is the Hulk.  He can whoop any other hero or villain in the book.

TX MileSplit:  If you weren't a successful track athlete what would be your back up sport or hobby?
