UIL 1A Girls All-State Second Team
14 Kristin Burkett (Avery)
Burkett, was the district champion in her freshman season at Avery. She went on to finish sixth at Region 3-1A and then was 13th at the state meet in 13:04.
13 Patricia Murguia (Aspermont)
Murguia had improved performance every year at the state meet. This season she finished 12th in 13:04.
12 Jamilyn Hensley (Miller Grove)
Hensely had a strong sophomore season at Miller Grove. She PRed in 12:27 at Region 3-1A for a third place finish. She went from 47th as a freshman at the state meet to 11th this year.
11 Lilliana Guerrero (Whiteface)
Whiteface senior Guerrero was seventh at Region 1-1A. At state, she ran a 12:57 PR for the best state meet finish in her career in 10th place.
10 Abigail Huffhines (Aquilla)
Huffhines had drastic improvements each season and this year ended no differently. She was third at Region 4-1A and then was ninth at state in 12;56.
9 Hailee Garmer (Roby)
Garmer had two sub 13 minute performances including her 12:55 run at state that earned her 8th place overall.
8 Hayley Connell (Sands)
Connell had a solid freshman season. She hovered around the 13 flat benchmark at her district meet and at Region 1-1A. She finally cracked it in 12:53 at state with her seventh place finish.
