Before getting into his final Training Blog, I'd like to take a minute to thank Andrew Tankersley. He was actually the first Texas athlete I interviewed. Talking to him after the 1600m at my first TX track meet at the A&M Indoor Classic.
He was completely open to talk about anything, well spoken, and of course had that odd ball weirdness you see in all distance runners. After his great Q&A Wednesday, I was glad to see him agree to be the guinea pig for the TX Milesplit Training Blog series. It's not easy to write about your daily training knowing it will be seen by the entire state, but Tank did an awesome job!
He opened up about all aspects of his season, talking about the successful moments, and not afraid to share the physical & emotional lows. He's done a fantastic job with it. Setting the stage for other athletes to carry the Training Blog torch in future seasons, and hopefully you all enjoyed reading it each week as much as I did! Click "Next" to read through his final blog as well as watch the trailer for his Workout Wednesday video, which will air tomorrow.
Thanks a ton Andrew and good luck at Air Force next year!
