Domangue And Alvarez Battle In The Boys Elite Race
Elizabeth Reneau 2nd in the varsity elite race
Boys Race
- The boys race was a battle between the top two guys, that came down to the wire! In the end Justin Domangue from Alvarado won running a 15:41. Also under the 16 minute mark was Stephen Alvarez who finished right on Domangue 's heals in 2nd running 15:42. The team race was won by the Marcus guys who scored 51 points. There top 1-5 gap was only 1:06.
Girls Race
- The girls race was won by senior Ashley Johnson from Arlington Martin, who ran 18:07 for the win. The second girl across the line was the fastest sophomore in the state Elizabeth Reneau who ran 18:37. The girls from Highland Park won the team title lead by Hope Mclaughlin who finished the course in 19:26. Marcus was the next closest team with 72 points.
