Kingwood Girls And Woodlands Guys Show Their Power
Boys Race
- The boys varsity 3 mile race was a battle between The Woodlands senior Daniel Golden and Kingwood senior Harry Bellow. The two were only separated by three seconds. In the end it was Golden who took home his second victory in a row running 14:59. Bellow ended up in second running 15:01, to break up The Woodlands sweep. The guys from The Woodlands took home the team title running only a nine second gap between their top 1-5. Kingwood was secound scoring 73 points.
Girls Race
- The girls 4k varsity race was won by Kingwood senior Abby Guidry who covered the course in 14:03. She was followed closely by her teammate Erin Gallagher who ran 14:17. The duo lead the Kingwood girls to victory scoring 29 points. Kingwood had almost all of their top 5 girls in the top 10 and had only a 0:52 1-5 split. The Woodlands girls finished just behind Kingwood scoring 33 points.
