Team Battles Brew At Keller HS Invitational
Boys Race
- The highlight in the guys races was definitely the team battle! It was a close battle between Keller Central and Keller Timber Creek. It came down to only five points between the two teams. Central had the top two guys in Eric Casarez and Micah Langat who finished 1st and 2nd running 15:53 and 15:58, but when it came down to the end Timber Creek had a better 1-5 spread to pull off the win. They scored 37 points with all of their top five guys in the top 10.
Girls Race
- The girls team race was also close, it came down to one point between Decatur and Keller. Even though Keller had a tighter 1-5 pack with only a 0:51 spread, Decatur came out with the win scoring 47 points. The girls individual title was won by junior Madelaine Johnston from Burkburnett, who ran 18:56. The next girl across the line was Grapevine's Shelmith Matongo who ran 19:13.
