Cash Kunkel and Austin Zirkel diving for the line
This was possibly the most thrilling finish to a race all day! No scratch that, it was the most thrilling finish of the day. All the way down the home stretch it was a battle between Medina's Austin Zirkeland Burton's Cash Kunkel. They went back and forth, back and forth, kicking as hard as they could with all the mud. In a last ditch effort, Kunkel made a dive for the finish but came up just short of 1st by only five tenths of a second! It was an incredible effort by both runners and thrilling to watch. Priddy won the team title scoring only 34 points. The Pirates were led by junior Matthew Smith who placed 3rd.

Freshman Sienna Collins took the girls win with a comfortable finish over everyone else. The girls from Cumby Miller Grove took home the team title scoring 39 points. They only had a 0:45 1-5 Split. As one of the last races of the day they some of the toughest course conditions.
