Gray Named Gatorade Texas Girls Cross Country Runner of the Year!

Abby Gray, the senior from Alamo Heights has been named the 2015-16 Gatorade Texas Girls Cross Country Runner of the Year. This honor comes after Gray had a standout season. The Arkansas commit won her district, and region meet to kick off the champion season. She then went on to win the class 5A state meet in 18:23. In to post season she finished runner-up at NXN South and 6th at Foot Locker South earning trips to both NXN and Foot Locker National. On the national stage, she finished 21st at NXN (17:33) and 18th at Foot Locker (18:09). She was the highest Texas finisher at Foot Locker.  She is the first Gatorade Texas Girls Cross Country Runner of the Year to be chosen from Alamo Heights High School. Gray is now a finalist for the prestigious Gatorade National Girls Cross Country Runner of the Year award to be announced in January.
