In 2017, Houston Langham Creek senior Eric Edwards had quite the junior year. Making a list of what he didn't do last year would be easier to do than listing everything he was able to accomplish. The important accomplishments for Edwards include being the reigning champion in the 110H at the UIL 6A, Great Southwest Classic, USA Junior, and the Pan American Junior meet. Edwards also set a wind legal national junior class record in the 100H of 13.33.
With all of the traveling, training, and competing that he has done over the last year and a half, he was able to still get some recruiting visits in this fall.
Edwards narrowed his list down and took a couple of visits to school like Ohio State, Miami, Texas Tech, and Oregon. Ultimately, Edwards decided on electing to continue his academic and athletic careers at the University of Oregon.
