
The Woodlands Battles Dawson, Manvel, & Fort Bend Marshall at 2017 Victor Lopez Classic 4x100 Relay
The Woodlands was able to become the first 6A team to win the cross country state title and the track and field state title in the same season.
They scored points from all around the stadium. From the pits and rings in the field to the sprints and distances on the track, The Woodlands struck it big on the score board. They got time points from the shot put, long jump, 100m, and the 4x200 relay. The 4x200 relay set a UIL 6A state record.
Can the Highlanders repeat a record setting season by adding another state track title to their new cross country title?
Teams like DeSoto, Converse Judson, and Allen may have something to say about it. Sleeper teams to watch will be Houston Strake Jesuit and Houston Langham Creek.
