Per the Texas Track and Field Coaches Association, June Villers, DeSoto Girl's Head Coach has been named the Coach of the Year by the Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA).
Villers is the first female head coach to be recognized with the award. The DeSoto head coach has led the Lady Eagles to the UIL 6A state championship every season since the 2016 season.
Already a member of the TTFCA Hall of Fame, Villers will now add the National HS Hall of Fame to her list of accomplishments.
