110 meter hurdles
In such a short race, it's imperative to execute and minimize errors. When it doesn't happen, we get a close race like the UIL 1A boys 110 meter hurdles.
Deflton Flemons (Paducah) was in a step for step and hurdle for hurdle battle with Braxton Ethridge from Springlake Earth. Flemons was able to come away with the narrow 14.53 to 14.59 win.
Flemons' Paducah teammate Cord Piper was in the outside lanes trying to track Flemons and Ethridge down. He finished third in 14.74.

300 meter hurdles
It was Braxton Ethridge from Springlake Earth who was the third place finisher last year who came out swinging hard over the first couple of hurdles.
Coming off the turn is where Ethridge's lead looked clear and he didn't let up until he cross the line as the winner.
It was Cohan Thompson from Calvert who would get in for second joining Ethridge under 40.0 and Jadeyn Bryant was third in 40.12.
