Luke Mason cross the finish line as a state champion

Last season's 4A boy's TAPPS State Champion in the 800, 1600 and 3200 kicked off his senior campaign at The Woodlands Christian Invitational, Saturday, February 18th. Still unsigned but with plenty of options available, Luke Mason (Sugarland Logos Prep Academy) looks to capitalize on a breakout 2022 and parlay his success (including back-to-back individual XC titles) into a stellar 2023.
This season, Mason intends to add the 400 to his repertoire and limit the number of 3200s he'll race. The concentration on speed should help him drop his 800 and 1600 PRs.
