When Karson Gordon jumped 49-09.00 as a freshman, he bettered his dad's high school mark by a couple of inches. As a junior, Karson has now eclipsed 50 feet (50-04 - wind legal) to claim the #1 spot in the U.S.
After an ankle injury hampered his quest for 50 feet last season, the relief is evident, and now it's onto smoothing out his approach in a quest for the U-20 standard of 51-08.00.
A tremendous quarterback prospect, as well, Gordon is hoping for a shot to play both in college. All he did his junior season on the gridiron is throw for 2,345 yards with 28 touchdowns against just 4 interceptions - in 10 games.
