Once again, the Texas Distance Festival was out of sight of sight! A new wrinkle to the event was the influx of South Texas and Rio Grande Valley area runners who fund raised and travelled up to the meet. Their presence was felt and seen as they contributed to pushing the paces and leading the races.
However, the season has been excellent thus far even before the TDF happened this weekend. Now that the weather almost has to make a turn towards the warmer trends, we should really begin to see the distance athletes down there really ramp things up another notch or two.
