The El Paso metropolitan area saw many girls have good cross country seasons and several of those top girls are back for the 2024 season. Adelynn Rodriguez (El Paso Eastwood) has been one of the area's best runners the last two seasons and this year could be her best yet. she had a great track season where she focused on developing her speed in the 800m and 1600m events.
El Paso Franklin saw several of their runners have quality seasons as well. The team survived the "Region of Doom" (Region 1-6A) and advanced to the UIL 6A state meet where they eventually ended with a seventh place finish.; they return five of their seven runners including four of the five scorers.
