The Episcopal girls raise the 2022 SPC Cross Country trophy

Team success supersedes individual success.
These are mantras ingrained into the team culture at Bellaire Episcopal (Houston) created by Coach Julius Michael, and the results are impressive. The girls are shooting for a three-peat while the boys finished in third place at SPCs last season, yet only five (5) points separated first place from third.
Madison Morgan finished first overall in 2022 after a third-place finish in 2021, and Sam Marino finished in second place followed closely by teammate Evan Ringwald.
An African proverb that Coach Michael recites is: "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together."
Bellaire Episcopal has embraced going together, and it's gotten them far.
