Aliyah Johnson competes at the 2023 TAPPS state meet

One of TAPPS' top sprinters and jumpers for the past three seasons embarks upon her senior campaign with heady goals: 11.40 100 and 23.00 200, placing her firmly in the all-time TAPPS record books.
Aliyah Johnson, the Fort Worth Southwest Christian senior, beams with confidence knowing that in TAPPS 5A and in both indoor and outdoor meets around the state and nation, she's run against top talent. A dynamic talent herself, she's taking her skills to the University of Indiana.
Regularly competing in five events, Aliyah ranks the 100 and long jump as her two favorite events; coincidentally, she struck gold in both at the 2023 TAPPS TF State Championships: 11.66 in the 100 and 18-06.50 in the long jump.
The TAPPS State TF Championships are scheduled for May 3-4, 2024 in Waco.
