From the Stage to the Track
According to MileSplit, Landry Perkin holds the all-time top spots for Weatherford Christian in both the 800 (2:22.99) and 1600 (5:20.88), but she's not complacent. The winner of the 2023 TAPPS 3A Cross Country title wants to add track & field gold to her resume after finishing last year's state championships in second place with both PRs above.
During the Covid break, Landry began running with her dogs, and the love for mid-distance and distance has never waned; in fact, she ceased her love of theater to concentrate on running. The seriousness with which she's dedicated herself has paid off: she's committed to Stephen F. Austin University.
