When I say it is early in the season, I mean just that. Heck, we are just in the third week of February.

As you should know though, the 2024 UIL season is operating a week ahead of schedule. Some teams are taking the season by the horns and going with it.

The team rankings reflect the early runnings of teams who are letting their individual performers loose.

The early leader should not be a surprise; It's Duncanville. While many eyes are currently on the Duncanville boys, their head man, coach Clayton Brookins will be quick to tell you who brought home the gold UIL trophy last year. That was none other than coach Green's girls. The sprints and hurdles again look to be strong building blocks. Their distance runner is PRing and points in the discus could be likely.
