Region 3-6A
UIL Region 3-6A boys 200m finals
Jelani Watkins (Atascocita) continues to enjoy an amazing 2024 track and field season. All season long, he has been a member of the best 4x100 relay ever and has added a new individual event to his workload with the 100m.
Watkins is the back-to-back UIL 6A state champion in the 200m and after his dazzling race this evening, he is getting the opportunity to add a third title.
Watkins will have to fend off top contender Jhase McMillan (Katy Tompkins) who is enjoying a fruitful season himself.
Watkins won the UIL Region 3-6A 200m Championship by darting a new TX No. 1 time of 20.56 edging out runner-up McMillan who ran the newly ranked TX No. 2 performance of 20.69.
