Meet Preview: McAllen Bulldog Inv.

So, the McAllen cross country program is at a good spot and it is a good thing too, because tonight they are hosting some of the hottest teams and individuals in South Texas.

The McAllen Bulldogs Invitational is tonight and begins at 7:15 p.m. with the varsity races beginning at 8:30.

Coach Daniel De La Rosa's girls are coming off a ninth place finish at the 2023 UIL 5A state meet and bring back six of the seven girls who competed. Coach Luis Cantu's boys have one of the most talented 5A teams in the state and are looking to redeem their 2023 season that ended two points short and one week too soon at the Region 4-5A meet.

From Corpus Christi to Laredo as well as in McAllen, Brownsville, etc this will be an early test for everyone. 

There are state meet team and individual qualifiers along with award winners from last year who will race it out tonight.
