This Week's Nominees:
Macy Wingard, Denton Braswell (Texas): Swept the distance events at the UIL 5A Region II & UIL 6A Region I meet, winning the 3200 in 10:08.34 and placing second in the 1600 with a 4:47.88. Her 3200 time led all competitors across the state this week.
Adeline Bennett, Flower Mound (Texas): Clocked 4:46.40 to win the 1600 at UIL 5A Region II & UIL 6A Region I, the fastest time posted in Texas this week. The top junior in the state defeated Denton Braswell's Macy Wingard by over a second.
McKenzi Roberson, Shadow Creek (Texas): Posted the week's fastest 100m time in Texas with an 11.39 victory at UIL 5A Region III & UIL 6A Region III. Also won the 200 in 22.98, moving to #3 in the state and ranking as the top junior in Texas in that event.
Lily Pierrot, Lancaster (Texas): Ran 11.40 to win the 100m at UIL 1A Region III & UIL 6A Region II, the second-fastest time across all Texas meets this week.
Brooke Lloyd, Humble Summer Creek (Texas): Turned in the state's fastest 400m time this week, winning at UIL 5A Region III & UIL 6A Region III in 51.98.
