What to Watch:
This boys 400m race is just insane! 4 athletes have run 46s this season with Marshall, Fields, and McStravick right on the edge. The US #1 is 45.91, I'm predicting that mark to go down in this race. By now everyone should have seen Keshun Reed's insane 4x400m anchor last week. Igbokwe has been looking a 45s race and there's no better place to do it. After running well indoors, Fields has kept that momentum going all season, now what can the only underclassmen in the race do against some of the best in the nation? Drawing the short straw in lane 1, 800m standout Marshall will have the entire field in his sight as he tries to track everybody down from the inside. Even though he had one of the faster qualifying times, Ogwo gets stuck on the outside, but he has the speed on a good day to run away from everybody.

Aaliyah Miller and Jhane King face off for the 3rd week in a row and now run side by side for the State Title. Amber Ivy is one of the best in the state at this distance and can't hold back as she'll run out on her own in lane 9. Maygen Smith had a big race at Region and could be the one to upset some of the bigger names in this race. With a loaded field running 54-55s this should be a great start to finish battle.

What to Watch:
Eric Age & Wil London, ranked US #5 and US #10. These two all stars will put together a great race as the two seniors battle for supremacy. Sawyer and Murphy have put together solid races this season, but Age and London are in a world of their own in the 5A 400m. Keep your eye on this race, because the fastest 400m time of the meet could very easily come from one of these guys.

Ene and Warden hold some of the fastest 400m times in the 5A division this season with freshman Bailey Lear ready to run sub-56s, but this race is really about one name, and that's Jarra Owens. A very talented field, but the A&M commit will easily take this race barring any unforeseen errors. Ranked TX #1 & US #12, Owens has no equal in the 5A 400m.

What to Watch:
Takyera Roberson will be running an impressive 3 events at State. She can contend in any event, but the 400m is certainly her best shot. She is ranked TX #2 and fastest in 4A by over 2 seconds.

What to Watch:
While not having the star power of the 6A or 5A 400m, this boys race will still be fun to watch. The entire field ran season best times at their Region meets showing they are all in good form.

It's going to be an interesting matchup between Fairley and Roberson who have both run mid 55s this season, and it remains to be seen if the other athletes in the race can keep up with those two.

What to Watch:
In the battle for sub-50 Cueto and Timms will be running side by side as the sophomores lead the charge as top seeds and fastest 400 runners in 2A this season.

Hayens and Perez are the only 2A girls sub-60 this season, and they've got a battle on their hands with 7 girls having a legitimate shot at the state title.
