What to Watch:
Not about the place, but the time, how long will it take Myles Marshall to cross first? There's no question if he throws down no one can keep pace, but it's a matter of how much effort he'll want to expend in the race while also running the 400 & Mile Relay. Cam White and Parker Scott are both dangerous having run 1:53 and could be prepared to make things interesting and go for the upset.

Common theme here with the favorite on the girls side also running the 800-400-4x4. Aaliyah Miller's got the leg speed to outkick anyone in this group, but she'll be pushed by a solid group looking to break 2:10. Cruz, Allen, and Terhune had big performances at Regionals, and they'll be able to hang with Miller through the 1st 650m. The question is if anyone can keep up when she finds that next gear down the homestretch.

What to Watch:
Connor Julian showed he has a killer kick to win the Region meet over Luca Chatham, and both those athletes entering as some of the top seeds after that race.

Kristyn Williams
ran her best 800m at Region just .01s off of running sub-10. The senior enters as the favorite to take the title though the rising sophomore Halle McClintock will give her a challenge.

What to Watch:

Michael Johnson's time from regionals should be ignored. He's the overwhelming favorite with a 1:53 already this season.

In the 4A 800m there are 2 girls ahead of the rest Amaram and Guzman will be the two to watch and it'll be a tight race with the two athletes having season best times separated by .01s!

What to Watch:

This race will be a fun one to watch with the top athletes all evenly matched. Reyes, Hemphill, and Perez all have season bests under 1:58 and within .13s of each other.

It will be tough for anyone to challenge Bret Leigh Nance in the 800m. Only a handful have run under 2:20, and no one else in 3A has gotten close to her 2:17.

What to Watch:

The only guy to run sub-2 this season is not running at State, leaving Mikel Escobar the most likely to cross the line first as he nearly broke that barrier at his Region meet showing that he is in the best shape of his season when it counts most.

No 2A athlete has run under 2:20, but that could be the time it takes to win this race with a solid group of girls running 2:21-2:22. It's a young field dominated by underclassmen, and Keanna Osby has a good chance of coming away with the title as a freshman.

What to Watch:

Roberts, Merrell, and Swires will decide this race having all run sub-2 this season. Merrell is a freshman on the rise, we'll see if his talent can overcome the experience of the older athletes.

With the overwhelming favorite not in this event, it's going to be an even race between a block of girls running around 2:25.
