Tuesday Training With Ryan Yerrow: 800's, Abs, Hills and The Falcon Invitational

Tuesday Traning With Ryan Yerrow Week 1: Progressive Run, Hills, and Two Mile Repeats

Monday 8/1- This morning we did a quick 6 miles, I felt pretty good coming off of our XC camp from last week
In the afternoon we did some lower body weights and abs then we went for a 4-mile run a little faster than 7-minute pace.

Tuesday 8/2- This morning was a little weird. I had to wake up at 3:30am to be at my school to get a parking spot because the line gets ridiculous and its first come first serve. So while I waited for my number to be called I went on a 6-mile run, a little slower than yesterday, about 6:30 pace. This afternoon we did upper body weights and abs and a 6 mile run a little slower than 7-minute pace

Wednesday 8/3-  This morning was like a progressive run. We run around a little lake that is exactly a mile loop so it works out perfect. Started out at 7-minute pace for the first 3 miles to help some of the younger guys out. Then the last 3 miles we progressively got faster and ended averaging just below 6:30 pace. Another lower body day and abs. And only 3 miles this afternoon.
Thursday 8/4- We had a workout this morning. We did a 3x2 mile and our set pace was 5:30/mile but I ended up going faster. I think this was definitely my best workout of the summer! I was the only guy there in the afternoon today so I did solo upper body weights and some abs. Then, I ran 4.5 miles with the first 2.5 being with the girls then I picked it up the last 2 miles.

Friday 8/5- Ran on hills this morning! We don't have hills where we are so we had to take a bus as a team to get to them. I ended up running 10 miles and really pushed it this morning, I was feeling really good so I just decided to make the most out of the hills since we don't get to run them often.

Saturday 8/6- This morning was a recovery run. The past two days were really tough for me so my legs were super heavy. Ran for 45 minutes and the loop we did was 7 miles.

Sunday 8/7- Another recovery day this morning. Just a nice and easy 4 miles.

Total miles: 63.5
