La'Tavion Mays from Burkeville had a strong start that lasted all the way to the finish where he took the 2021 1A Boys 100m title with the time of 10:69. Followed by Kaige Covington from Roby ending the race with a 10:75. Zane Capps from Richland Springs comes in third place with the time of 10:81.

Surging into the lead Christian Rattler from Knippa broke the stagger apart and held his position. His kick in the last 100 meters is what led him to set a UIL State Meet record with a time of 48.99.
Blake Beard of Turkey Valley kept on Rattler's heels until the very end finishing his race with a 50.01. Followed by Trace Goodman a sophomore from Earth Springlake with a time of 50.22.
