Jelani Watkins sprints home in the 200m prelims at the 2022 Texas A&M High School Indoor Classic

In the fall, Jelani Watkins (Klein Forest) is usually busy exceling on the football season, but when it's not football season, you can find him burning up a track somewhere. That's exactly what he did last indoor season; Watkins ran a 21.50 at the Texas A&M High School Indoor Classic to start the season and eventually won the outdoor UIL 6A 200m state title.
Watkins leads four other returning boys who ran under 22.00 last year and Cameron Jackson (Spring) who ran 22.12 last month at the FasTrak Coach O Youth and High School Opener.
