The sophomore class is very good. It's full of some of the top runners in the state. In fact, last year, two of the leaders were 2016 UIL state champions with LONDON CULBREATH's 5A title and EMILY GARCIA's 4A title.

Culbreath is the state leader and the U.S. #5 in the 5K. She only has two races under her belt on the season and both of those resulted in sub 18 flat 5Ks. Last season, she not only ran her way to the 5A title, but she also won the NXN South Regionals and qualified for the NXN finals. In that race, Culbreath finish 12th in the nation, which was her first time loss of the season. That perfect season could definitely come this season.
