Reed Brown Running at the Texas A&M Indoor Classic Photo By: Bryan Deibel
Reed Brown has already run twice this year. The Southlake junior took to the track at both the Texas A&M Indoor classic and Arkansas High School Invitational. He ran the mile at both meets but ran faster at Texas A&M. His time of 4:16.13 ranks 12th in the country. The NXN All-American holds a 1600m PR of 4:16.33 (TX #7) and a 3200m PR of 9:00.82 which ranks 2nd in the state just behind Carter Blunt. One race I'm looking forward to this season is watching the best distance runners get after it at the Southlake Distance Festival. Last year in the 5k Brown ran a 15:09.09 to finish runner-up to Blunt. This year it should be an exciting race again.
